Matomo Tracking Panel
Like a tracking pixel, but it is a Grafana Panel.
This panel allows Grafana dashboard usage to be tracked using Matomo. It does only tracking and has minimal visible presence.
This is independently developed. It is not an official Matomo product, and is not affiliated with, or sponsored by, Matomo.

Compatible with Grafana 7.x
Installation
Install by using grafana-cli
grafana-cli plugins install thiagoarrais-matomotracking-panel
Usage
Include only one panel per dashboard that should be tracked. Use the configuration editor to set the URL for your Matomo instance and your site ID.
The panel does not have any visible UI. We suggest that it should be resized to a minimal.

Installing on a local Grafana:
For local instances, plugins are installed and updated via a simple CLI command. Plugins are not updated automatically, however you will be notified when updates are available right within your Grafana.
1. Install the Panel
Use the grafana-cli tool to install Matomo Tracker from the commandline:
grafana-cli plugins install The plugin will be installed into your grafana plugins directory; the default is /var/lib/grafana/plugins. More information on the cli tool.

2. Add the Panel to a Dashboard
Installed panels are available immediately in the Dashboards section in your Grafana main menu, and can be added like any other core panel in Grafana.
To see a list of installed panels, click the Plugins item in the main menu. Both core panels and installed panels will appear.
