- Diagnosing query issues using series Lineage and its Grafana integration.
- Optimizing query performance through request performance metadata, aggregators and normalization.

Dieter Plaetinck, Principal Software Engineer, Grafana Labs
Dieter is a principal engineer at Grafana Labs who has been actively working on open source monitoring – the Graphite ecosystem in particular – for about 7 years. The first engineer to join the company after its founding, he started the Metrictank project in 2015 to support large scale Graphite workloads.He is now learning Greek so he can talk to his in-laws and also order perfect souvlaki.
