From its humble origins as a dashboard feature to its growth into a full-fledged alerting system, Grafana Alerting is evolving still, with plans to make it the most stable, scalable, and simple detection system out there. In this session, Grafana Labs Alerting team members Jean-Philippe Quéméner and Alexander Weaver will discuss the advantages of the current system, how the current single binary solution is typically operated, tips and tricks to help you get the most out of it. Looking towards the future, they will talk about the decision to extract alert rule evaluations into an optional set of separate binaries, enabling your rules to be evaluated continuously, even when Grafana is not running.
