Week Three
What's the bee-weather & how-to correct particulate-matter readings (in Grafana, of course)
Wednesday, May 20 13:30 ET / 17:30 UTC | 50 min
Description
This session covers using variables to combine weather records and forecasts to measure a beehive – and how this can help beekeepers. We’ll also show how to compare particulate-matter (PM) measurements of nearby stations from different networks and develop a humidity-correction for low-cost PM sensors within a Grafana dashboard.

Matthias Mehldau, Data Artist, The Hiveeyes Project
After doing layout and graphics and some web stuff, Matthias became a network engineer especially for wireless networks. When wondering how weather impacts wireless links, he began integrating weather data into Grafana. Soon after he joined the Hiveeyes Project, which develops free and open source software and hardware for beehive monitoring, while gathering other environmental data, too.
