Connect the PDC agent via Azure Private Link

Caution

Connecting PDC Agents via Azure Private Link is currently in Public Preview and no SLA is provided.

Connect a PDC agent running in your Azure Virtual Network to Grafana Cloud via Azure Private Link in order to:

  • Reduce your Azure egress costs when querying your private data sources.
  • Improve security by keeping your data within the Azure network.

To use this feature, configure a Private Endpoint in your Azure Virtual Network. Your local PDC agents can use this endpoint to connect to Grafana Cloud via Azure Private Link.

Note

The Azure Private Link service used to connect PDC agents is the same as the one used to send telemetry to Grafana Cloud via Azure Private Link.

If you have already performed the steps to send telemetry to Grafana Cloud via Azure Private Link, you can skip this guide and connect your PDC agent as normal.

Refer to Configure Azure Private Link for instructions on how to set up the Private Link Endpoint ready for your PDC agent to connect to.

Once the Private Endpoint and Private DNS records are created, run your PDC agent as normal to connect via Azure Private Link.
