Grafana IRM provides a unified platform for responding to alerts, managing incidents, and coordinating team response efforts. This section covers the day-to-day operational workflows and features you’ll use to handle alerts and incidents effectively.

Key workflows

The IRM user workflows focus on three primary areas:

Alert management: Receive, acknowledge, and resolve alerts from your monitoring systems
Incident response: Declare, investigate, and coordinate the resolution of incidents
Mobile response: Manage alerts and incidents on the go with the IRM mobile app

Alert response

When alerts trigger in your monitoring systems, Grafana IRM helps you manage them efficiently:

View and acknowledge alerts: See all active alerts, acknowledge them to indicate you’re investigating
Escalate alerts: Manually escalate alerts or let automatic escalation chains notify the right people
Resolve or silence alerts: Mark issues as fixed or temporarily silence notifications

Incident management

Declare incidents: Create incidents from alerts or manually to mobilize responders
