Add activity to an incident

The built-in timeline makes it easier for responders to join the incident, review activity, and identify what needs to be done. Use the timeline to gather all relevant notes, queries, and dashboard panels in one place.

Key features

Notes: Add markdown notes to the timeline. URLs are extracted and added to the Links and Context section.
Queries: Attach Prometheues and Loki queries from your Grafana Cloud stack to the timeline. Note that only metric queries will be supported.
Dashboard Panels: Include dashboard panels from your Grafana Cloud stack to the timeline.
- Note: there is currently no option to specify input variables, so panels that use variables will not render.

Search and filter activity in the timeline

Customize the timeline to focus on recent events or gather the relevant activity for your post incident review.

Importance: Filter activity by relevance: see Highly relevant activity, Relevant activity or All activity.
Time: Return activity in a given absolute or relative time range.
Emoji: List activity with a given emoji.
