ObservabilityCON 2024: A sneak peek at this year’s agenda
ObservabilityCON 2024 is coming to the Big Apple this fall, and today, we’re excited to share an early look at this year’s agenda.
Taking place Sept. 24-25 in New York City, ObservabilityCON 2024 is our flagship (and can’t-miss) observability event. We hope you’ll join us to preview the latest features in the Grafana LGTM Stack (Loki for logs, Grafana for visualization, Tempo for traces, and Mimir for metrics), learn from Grafana Labs experts and industry peers, and get actionable advice to drive real business impact with your organization’s observability strategy.
Last year’s event sold out quickly and seats are extremely limited, so don’t wait — register today!
What’s in store at ObservabilityCON 2024
ObservabilityCON 2024 offers a unique mix of technical deep dives, user success stories, and networking opportunities that you simply can’t get anywhere else. Here’s what you can expect.
Workshops and the opening keynote
It all starts on Sept. 24 with our three-hour, hands-on workshops. This year’s workshops are designed to help you monitor modern applications with Grafana Cloud, explore the fundamentals of OpenTelemetry, and learn best practices to ship, query, and visualize log data with Grafana Cloud Logs.
Note: A separate ticket is required to attend a workshop, and can only be purchased alongside a full conference ticket.
Following the workshops will be the opening keynote, featuring Grafana Labs CEO and co-founder Raj Dutt, CTO Tom Wilkie, and members of the Grafana Labs engineering team. You’ll learn about emerging trends in the observability space and the latest features in the Grafana LGTM Stack and Grafana Cloud, including recent AI/ML developments that can transform your observability strategy, making it easier and faster to identify and resolve issues. (Can’t join us in NYC? No worries. We’re live streaming the keynote on Sept. 24. Sign up for access today.)
Sessions from the Grafana Labs team
After the keynote, we’ll kick off a series of technical sessions led by members of the Grafana Labs team, covering topics such as:
- How to use Grafana Alloy, our open source telemetry collector, with Grafana Beyla, our open source eBPF auto-instrumentation tool, to automatically capture metrics and traces of running services and connect to existing telemetry pipelines.
- How to troubleshoot faster with unified application and infrastructure observability, and how Grafana Cloud Asserts can help you gain a deeper understanding of application and service behavior.
- The latest developments in Grafana Cloud Synthetic Monitoring, powered by Grafana k6, to simulate complex transactions and user journeys so you can fully optimize the end-user experience.
- How to leverage AI/ML features in Grafana Cloud to reduce toil, get faster insights, and optimize your observability costs.
- Best practices to create alerts and SLOs, manage the on-call experience, and learn from postmortems using Grafana Cloud’s Incident Response and Management.
- How to correlate telemetry data in Grafana to simplify debugging, accelerate incident resolution, and understand resource usage and latency down to the code level.
User success stories
Of course, no Grafana Labs event is complete without voices from our community. This year, ObservabilityCON 2024 will include a number of user success stories that highlight the real-world observability wins and lessons learned from Grafana users across various industries. These success stories include:
- How TeleTracking expanded observability coverage, improved the ability to bring context to issues, and defined more focused and quantifiable planning targets with Grafana Cloud Metrics, Logs, IRM, and Frontend Observability.
- How Unity migrated its metrics backend from Thanos to Cortex to Grafana Mimir and scaled it to over 150 million active series — and saved millions of dollars along the way.
- How Planet eliminated tool sprawl and centralized its observability stack with Grafana Cloud.
- How ASAPP increased developer productivity with a streamlined process for creating dashboards in git and importing them into Grafana Cloud.
- How IG Group streamlined operations, reduced costs, and transformed their engineering culture with Grafana Cloud Metrics, Logs, and Traces.
- How Novo Nordisk runs a hub-and-spoke Kubernetes cluster setup with chained OpenTelemetry collectors, as well as a Grafana Cloud to provide a centrally managed platform that mimics multi-tenancy.
See you in NYC!
In addition to the sessions described above, ObservabilityCON 2024 will include the always-popular Ask the Experts booth, plenty of live demos, and lots of networking opportunities. You don’t want to miss it — register today!
