Grafana Labs named to the Inc. Best Workplaces 2023 list

At Grafana Labs, people are comfortable being uncomfortable. 

We’ve seen a new developer take the leap and tackle a junior developer position she thought may be out of reach. Or there was an engineer who spent his nights Googling “What is a tech lead?” because he wasn’t sure if he was ready for the new role within his team.

We often say it’s safe to not know here, because there is one thing all Grafanistas do know: We always have each other’s back. All anyone has to do is pose a question in Slack or reach out to a team member, and our core company values of openness and transparency and our promise to help each other thrive shine through as we lift one another up.

We believe that’s one of the reasons that Inc. named Grafana Labs one of the best places to work in 2023, an honor we have been proud to earn in years past. As a remote-first company with more than 900 employees located across 40 countries, we work hard to invest in our culture and evolve our teams as we continue to scale. Over the past year, we returned to in-person onboarding to spark strong cross-collaborative relationships from the get-go. Plus we introduced management programs to foster the next generation of leaders within the company. We not only want to build a wildly successful organization. We remain committed to setting up each Grafanista for success along the way. 

Since I joined Grafana Labs in 2018, we have been iterating on our global team. As we have scaled the business through a pandemic and unpredictable economic climates, there have been times when we felt ahead, and there were other times we definitely found ourselves several steps behind. But through it all, we’ve remained laser-focused on our team. We know that building lasting relationships is important for our culture and our business. And if ever we do face a difficult or uncomfortable challenge, we know we can count on the collective Grafana Labs community to power through it.
